YOU ARE THE HERO on sale at UK Games Expo 2024

YOU ARE THE HERO: An Interactive History of Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks, written by Jonathan Green and covering 40 years of FF, will be on sale for the first time outside of the original Kickstarter at the UK Games Expo this weekend.

Jonathan will be joining Sir Ian Livingstone at Stand 2-T21 to sign copies of his magnum opus from Friday 31 May - Sunday 2 June 2024 in Hall 2 at the NEC, just outside Birmingham.

Of course, Sir Ian will also be signing copies of his books too, including Dice Men. He is also taking part in a number of events. You will find Sir Ian's schedule for the weekend here.

Belgian Fighting Fantasy fan Gil Jugnot has mapped the Fighting Fantasy (or Défis Fantastiques) gamebooks, including the Sorcery! quartet and The Tasks of Tantalon, onto the maps of the three continents of Titan published by Scriptarium. And here they are.

UK Games Expo 2024 Special Guest, Sir Ian Livingstone

Sir Ian Livingstone will be attending UK Games Expo 2024 as a Special Guest, from Friday 31 May - Sunday 2 June.

You will find him at Stand 2-T21 where you will be able to get your Fighting Fantasy gamebooks signed.

During the course of the weekend Sir Ian will also be taking part in two live events.

On Friday 31 May, from 1:30-3:00pm, he will be leading The Dark Room's John Robertson astray once more in Deathtrap Dungeon, in the seminal gamebook's 40th anniversary year. Tickets for the event are available here, but they have almost all sold out. (Half of each ticket fee will be added to the UKGE Charity donations.)

On Sunday 2 June, from 12.30-1:00pm Sir Ian will be joining fellow Special Guest Luke Gygax on the D&D at 50 panel. This is a free event, taking place on the Main Stage in Hall 2.

Sir Ian Livingstone to attend the UK Games Expo 2024

Four weeks today, Sir Ian Livingstone will be attending UK Games Expo 2024.

You will find him at Stand 2-T21 where you will be able to get your Fighting Fantasy gamebooks signed.

Fighting Fantasy author and historian Jonathan Green will also be in attendance, and will be sharing Sir Ian's stand for the weekend.

You will also be able to catch both of them at Fighting Fantasy Fest 5 in September.
