Sir Ian Livingstone at Dragonmeet 2025

Sir Ian Livingstone is attending Dragonmeet this weekend, on Saturday 29th November 2025, at London's Excel Centre in Docklands.

Dragonmeet: Call to Adventure

Dragonmeet: Call to Adventure is a new, free gaming event for gamers old and new. It is being held on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Kensington Town Hall, from 10:00am - 5:00pm, and Fighting Fantasy will be there!

Joining Sir Ian Livingstone will be Graham Bottley or Arion Games, who will be showing off the latest Advanced Fighting Fantasy releases and demoing the new AFF board game, Dark Dungeons.

Don't forget, the event is entirely FREE to attend.

Fighting Fantasy at Dragonmeet 2024

Fighting Fantasy co-creator Sir Ian Livingstone and FF historian Jonathan Green will be attending Dragonmeet on Saturday 30 November 2024. You will find them at the Fighting Fantasy stand in the Upper Trade Hall (indicated by the small blue tent under the FF logo on the map below).

Jonathan will have copies of YOU ARE THE HERO: An Interactive History of Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks to sell, and Sir Ian will have copies of MAGIC REALMS: The Art of Fighting Fantasy, which they worked on together, and a few hardbacks of The Dungeon on Blood Island.

Sir Ian Livingstone to attend Dragonmeet 2024

Sir Ian Livingstone will be attending Dragonmeet again this year, at the Novotel London West, on Saturday 30 November 2024.

Before the trade halls open to the general public, the Dragonmeet Awards ceremony will take place. Last year, one of the awards that was made was the Ian Livingstone Prize for Innovations in Games.

If you have been meaning to pick up a signed copy of Magic Realms, Dice Men, or the collector's hardback of The Dungeon on Blood Island, Dragonmeet will be the perfect occasion to do just that.

Also in attendance will be FF author and historian Jonathan Green, who will be selling copies of YOU ARE THE HERO: An Interactive History of Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks.

Sir Ian Livingstone attending Dragonmeet 2023

Tomorrow, Saturday 2nd December 2023, Sir Ian Livingstone will be attending Dragonmeet at the Novotel Hammersmith in West London.

At 9:30am he will be presenting the inaugural Ian Livingstone Prize for Innovations in Games, so that the shortlisted entries and the winner can then demonstrate their awards on their stands. The winner has been chosen from a long list of entries by Sir Ian and represents the Innovation that he feels most benefits games and gaming that year.

You will then find Sir Ian at Stand 6 in the Lower Trade Hall, which opens at 10:00am, where he will have some copies of the hardback editions of Shadow of the Giants and Dice Men on sale.

At 12:00pm Sir Ian will be on the panel for What Board Games Mean to Me.

Why are board games so important to so many of us, and why have they become so popular? Inspired by the new book of the same name from Aconyte, games expert James Wallis is joined by a panel of games industry experts and enthusiasts, including Sir Ian Livingstone and Matt Forbeck, to explore the many ways in which games have shaped all our lives

Sir Ian will be attending until 2:00pm, at which point he has to leave. However, before then he will be happy to chat with fans and sign their books.

Sir Ian Livingstone to attend Dragonmeet 2023

Co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series Sir Ian Livingstone will be attending Dragonmeet on Saturday 2nd December 2023. The event is taking place at the Novotel Hammersmith in West London.

You will find Sir Ian at Stand C11 in the Lower Trade Hall, which will be open from 10:00am-6:00pm.

Ian Livingstone at Dragonmeet 2021

Dragonmeet is taking place at the Novotel Hammersmith​ in London tomorrow, Saturday 4th December 2021. The Gaming Hall and Upper Trade Hall will be open from 9:00am-11:00pm, while the Lower Trade Hall will be open from 10:00am-7:00pm.


Fighting Fantasy will be in the Upper Trade Hall on Stand 31, and Ian Livingstone will be signing books during the day. So if you're going to be there, do stop by and say hello. And may your STAMINA never fail!

Dragonmeet 2021

Of course, there was no Dragonmeet 2020, thanks to the COVID lockdown, and we really felt like we had missed out by not seeing everyone last December. However, you will be pleased to hear that Fighting Fantasy will be at Dragonmeet 2021.

Dragonmeet is taking place at the Novotel Hammersmith ​, in London, on Saturday 4th December 2021. The Gaming Hall will be open from 9:00am-11:30pm, while the Trade Hall will be open from 10:00am-6:00pm.


Fighting Fantasy will be in the Trade Hall and Ian Livingstone will be at the convention. As well as signing books at the FF stand, he will also be giving a talk as part of this year's seminar stream.

Dragonmeet 2019 with Special Guest Ian Livingstone

Ian Livingstone is appearing at Dragonmeet today, signing copies of his latest Fighting Fantasy gamebook, Assassins of Allansia, as well as copies of Board Games in 100 Moves.

      

Atlantis Miniatures, the company producing the 28mm range of Fighting Fantasy figurines, is also attending the event, as are FF author and historian Jonathan Green, and FF artist Tony Hough.


In other news, Nomad Games' adaptation of the Deathtrap Dungeon trilogy is now available for Nintendo Switch.

Meet Ian Livingstone in both Leeds and London

If you are based in Leeds, or the surrounding area, get yourself over to Blackwell's at 6:00pm on Thursday 28th November, where you can enjoy an evening of gaming chat with Fighting Fantasy co-creator Ian Livingstone and get your Fighting Fantasy gamebooks - such as his newest title, Assassins of Allansia - signed. Tickets are free but places are limited, so makes sure you secure your place now over on Eventbrite.


And then two days after the Blackwell's Leeds event, you can meet Ian Livingstone at Dragonmeet 2019, down in London, on Saturday 30th November, where he is appearing as a special guest.

Forthcoming Fighting Fantasy Events

Today, Friday 20th September, to celebrate the publication of Board Games In 100 Moves, Ian Livingstone will be attending a very special event at Board Games Cafe Draughts, in London's Waterloo! Tickets are still available, and with each one purchased, you get to attend a talk by Ian, a signed copy of this much anticipated book, and you will also get to take part in a gaming session where you might even find yourself play a game with the man himself!

On Saturday 28th September, Ian will be at Tabletop Gaming Live, giving a talk about his life in games. He will also run through his favourite board games of all time. The limited edition hardback of Assassins of Allansia will be on sale at the event.

And then on Saturday 30th November, Ian will be at Dragonmeet, where you will also be able to buy the limited edition hardback of Assassins of Allansia (if there are any left by then).

Special guest Ian Livingstone attending Dragonmeet 2018

On Saturday 1st December, Fighting Fantasy co-creator Ian Livingstone will be attending Dragonmeet 2018 as one of this year's special guests.

Also in attendance will be Fighting Fantasy historian Jonathan Green and All Rolled Up, the company that produces the FF-licensed game rolls and dice trays.

Dragonmeet is being held at the Novotel London West, in Hammersmith, London. The Gaming Hall is open from 9:00am-Midnight, while the Trade Hall is open from 10:00am-7:00pm.

Fighting Fantasy at Dragonmeet 2018

Dragonmeet has become something of a fixture in the Fighting Fantasy calendar and this year is no exception. Two weeks today, on Saturday 1st December, Ian Livingstone will be attending the event, as will FF historian Jonathan Green.

Dragonmeet is being held at the Novotel London West, in Hammersmith, London. The Gaming Hall is open from 9:00am-Midnight, while the Trade Hall is open from 10:00am-7:00pm.

Dragonmeet is one of the most vibrant tabletop gaming conventions and the largest of its kind in London. You'll discover a day jam-packed with things for you to do. Expect new and old games to play, industry panels, book signings, an art show, a Bring & Buy stall, cosplay events, lots of traders and big demos, tournaments and of course the chance to make new friends and hang out with fellow gamers!

This year Dragonmeet is expanding into two big halls in the Novotel Hammersmith providing lots more open gaming space, a bigger seminar room, more demo game space, more participation games and more RPG space! ​You can expect board games, role-playing games and miniatures games, tournaments plus an evening of gaming including the charity auction.

Advance tickets cost £12, and Under 16s are free with an accompanying adult.

Fighting Fantasy at Dragonmeet 2017

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, the co-creators of the world's most popular gamebook series, will be giving a talk, to mark this incredible milestone, at 1:00pm.

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, the co-creators of the world's most popular gamebook series, will be giving a special seminar at Dragonmeet, on Saturday 2nd December 2017, to mark this incredible milestone.

The event runs from 10:00am until midnight, and Scholastic Books will be there, selling copies of the Fighting Fantasy re-issues, and so will Fighting Fantasy historian Jonathan Green, who will have copies of YOU ARE THE HERO Parts 1 and 2 on sale.
