Dragonmeet: Call to Adventure is a new, free gaming event for gamers old and new. It is being held on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Kensington Town Hall, from 10:00am - 5:00pm, and Fighting Fantasy will be there!

Joining Sir Ian Livingstone will be Graham Bottley or Arion Games, who will be showing off the latest Advanced Fighting Fantasy releases and demoing the new AFF board game, Dark Dungeons.

Fighting Fantasy at AireCon 2025

If you are attending AireCon at the Harrogate Convention Centre this weekend (Friday 14th March - Sunday 16th 2025) make sure you visit the trading Hall M and stop by Booth D13, where you will find Arion Games, publishers of the Advanced Fighting Fantasy Second Edition RPG.

The Advanced Fighting Fantasy Solo Guide is coming to Kickstarter soon

Solo RPGs are proving very popular in this day and age. However, Advanced Fighting Fantasy Second Edition relies on having a Director to run your gaming sessions. Fans of Advanced Fighting Fantasy Second Edition will no doubt already be familiar with the name Arion Games. Arion Games is Graham Bottley's RPG publishing company, and current holder of the Advanced Fighting Fantasy licence.

The good news is that Graham has recently set up a YouTube channel to discuss up-and-coming RPG projects from Arion Games, but this will mainly have an Advanced Fighting Fantasy focus. One of the first videos Graham has posted on his channel explains how Advanced Fighting Fantasy Second Edition came to be.

Arion Games releases Ice & Lakes paper miniatures for Advanced Fighting Fantasy

It seems somehow appropriate that, as Allansia is currently being alternately lashed by rain and threatened by snow, Arion Games should choose this time to release their Ice & Lakes Advanced Fighitng Fantasy minis.

This is the fourteenth set that has been designed specifically for Advanced Fighting Fantasy and provides players with yet more monsters and enemies, but all from the icy terrain and land-locked lakes of Titan. As well as common creatures such as the Crocodile and Snow Wolf, there are also rarer creatures, such as the Slykk, Toa-Suo, Spit Toad and Snapper Fish.

Advanced Fighting Fantasy Adventures iiiin spaaaace!

Fans of Arion Games' Advanced Fighting Fantasy RPG and science fiction adventures will be delighted to learn that the company have launched a Kickstarter to fund production of Stellar Adventures, the SF version of the AFF rules.

Due for publication later this year, this version will support all kinds of SF, from large Starships exploring unknown space, to small traders movings from spaceport to spaceport, to marines investigating ruined alien spacecraft, and even cyberpunk.

Backers of the Kickstarter will also be invited into the playtest area of the Arion Games forums at the end of the campaign to make sure that the game is as good as it can be!
